Neural processes are arguably the most complex phenomena, a complexity borne of dynamic interactions between an animal's behavior and its brain's anatomical, chemical, and electrical features. Meaningful progress toward understanding this complexity requires precise intervention.
The image above is a conceptual abstraction of our approach. We examine the interaction between electrical brain dynamics (represented by lightning) and novel interventions (pill) in behaving mice. By engineering interventions with unprecedented molecular and cellular specificity, we strive to expose, or break open, neuropsychiatric processes.
